Wolfsberg Group

Wolfsberg Group is an association of 12 global banks established in 1999 aiming to provide basic principles for AML, KYC and CDD. As of 2021, the group was also established as a legal entity. Its current members are: Santander Bank, Bank of America, Barclays, Citi, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, JP Morgan Chase, MUFG, Societe Generale, Standard Chartered and UBS.
The group provides regular statements and guidance in the financial crime prevention area, helping to improve the overall financial crime compliance and awareness. The most famous product of the group is the so-called Wolfsberg Questionnaire, which allows the financial institutions to provide easy information about their AML/Sanctions/Anti-fraud measures.
